Along with images, EXAM-FILER also can store on CDs voice clips available from a PACS, image-montages and the radiologist’s diagnostic report with appropriate access software.

EXAM-FILER image files require no special viewing software on the user’s computer. CDs boot up with an attractive splash screen customized with the practice’s logo and website URL. After users complete a short HIPAA privacy notice, studies are available for viewing the using CoActiv Clinical EXAM-VIEWER™. Fast and intuitive, the software is optimized for use by referring doctors and patients. It supports sophisticated image manipulation, including: Slice, Window and Level, Series, Zoom, Pan, Reset, Fit-To-Window, Inverse, W&L Presets, Rotate, Flip, Overlay, Copy-To-Clipboard (for saving or printing) and more. All viewer functions can be instantly accessed and controlled from a mouse and keyboard. Each CD also includes the necessary applications to view reports, voice clips, dictation files, scanned information or other included data.
EXAM-FILER automatically creates full-color CD labels customized with the practice name, logo and contact information. These also feature exam creation date, referring physician, patient name, descriptions, HIPAA privacy notice and other useful information.

The complete CoActiv EXAM-FILER system, including all hardware and supplies, is competitively priced, with substantial discounts for multiple systems. While the EXAM-FILER supports data access from multiple modalities, the typical installation includes a dedicated interface with a PACS, teleradiology system or single DICOM modality. Interfacing with non-DICOM modalities requires the addition of a DICOM gateway, available separately.
