CoActiv EXAM-VAULT® Archiving Validated for Philips Xcelera Digital Echocardiograms
CoActiv announces the validation of its EXAM-VAULT®QUAD-REDUNDANT ARCHIVING™ system for use with the Philips Xcelera echocardiogram system. “Now, for the first time, Philips Xcelera users will have the opportunity to choose a third party archiving solution with this popular imaging system,” says Edward Heere, President and CEO of CoActiv. “CoActiv provides an extremely affordable, high-performance and comprehensive alternative for echocardiology image storage.”
Recent Xcelera users implementing the CoActiv EXAM-VAULT solution include Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie NY, Lawrence Hospital Center in Bronxville, NY and shortly, Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. In addition to echocardiology, both Vassar Brothers and Lawrence also archive all their Hologic digital mammography exams in EXAM-VAULT. Griffin Hospital, a CoActiv EXAM-PACS® facility, also archives its complete array of modalities using EXAM-VAULT. A number of new sites are scheduled to sign on shortly.
CoActiv EXAM-VAULT automatically and securely archives exams using a unique Quad-Redundant storage technique that saves every exam four times within the CoActiv system. EXAM-VAULT keeps archived exams on-line at the client site and also stores them in multiple redundant CoActiv Tier-IV data centers.
Once stored in the CoActiv system, echocardiology data can be viewed and managed with all the cutting edge features and flexibility of a site’s CoActiv image management system. Lawrence Hospital, for example, has elected to use CoActiv’s advanced EXAM-PACS and IT network backbone to make Philips Xcelera Digital Echocardiogram data available throughout the hospital on any CoActiv PACS viewing station.
Other options might include distributing echocardiology data to patients or referring physicians on CDs using EXAM-FILER® CD-Burning Solution. Referring physicians also can receive exams with EXAM-SENDER® Referring Physician System. EXAM-NET™ Teleradiology suite will automate distribution of Philips Xcelera Digital Echocardiograms to a wide range consulting physicians, while EXAM-RIS™ being introduced at RSNA 2007, can help automate echocardiology reporting.
