CoActiv President Ed Heere to be a Featured Speaker at Planetree Hospital Conference
Oct. 5, 2006--Ridgefield, CT – Edward Heere, president and CEO of CoActiv Medical, has been selected as a featured speaker for the Planetree Annual Conference to be held this year in San Diego, October 10 to 13. As head of the one of the today’s leading edge PACS companies, Heere will speak about opportunities for cost-effective digital conversion before a group of more than 700 staff and friends of Planetree worldwide member facilities. Planetree is a non-profit membership organization working with hospitals and healthcare centers to develop and implement patient-centered care in healing environments.
During his presentation “PACS: Now a Viable and Affordable Alternative to Expensive Film-Based Imaging,” Heere will explain how advances in digital imaging and information technology and innovative computer programming can now bring the many advantages of PACS to any hospital, regardless of size and budget. He will discuss how savings in the costs of film, developing supplies and fileroom can cover the capital and operating expense of a PACS.
