CoActiv Integrates EXAM-PACS® with Canon’s Line of Digital Radiography (DR)Systems – Offering a Total Film-Less PACS Solution

CoActiv will be demonstrating their affordable, full solution PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System), EXAM-PACS®, fully integrated with Canon’s DR System at the 2004 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Conference in booth #2478, November 28th through December 3rd, in Chicago, Ill.
The CoActiv EXAM-PACS® integration with the Canon DR product line solidifies CoActiv’s emergence as a total, single source, digital solution for current film-based hospitals and imaging centers. This positions CoActiv as a versatile and affordable PACS provider giving hospitals the opportunity to go completely film-less. Canon’s DR enhances traditional x-ray rooms by adding an exceptionally fast and high quality line of digital radiography systems that easily interface to EXAM-PACS®, the HIS/RIS and DICOM printers.
Canon DR Systems render efficient, reliable and high quality images while cutting costs on film processing and significantly expediting the exam cycle. Images are captured immediately and a preview image appears in about 3 seconds on the LCD Operation Panel enabling the technologist to confirm accuracy of the picture – and then within 6 seconds the image is sent to the PACS for reading by the diagnostic radiologist. CoActiv chose to integrate with Canon because their DR system incorporates their Amorphous Silicon (a-SI) Flat Panel Detector to capture exceptionally accurate, high resolution images and because they offer a complete array of DR solutions ideal for a wide range of general radiographic applications, including a unique portable system.
