CoActiv Partners with Codonics to Provide PACS Printing Solution

CoActiv will be demonstrating their affordable, full solution PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System), EXAM-PACS®, fully integrated with the Codonics line of Horizon Multi-media Dry Imagers at the 2004 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Conference in booth # 2478, November 28th through December 3rd, in Chicago, Ill.
The integration of CoActiv EXAM-PACS® with the Codonics line of Horizon multi-media imagers satisfies hospital and imaging center needs for multi-format, multi-size, multi-media film and color output. The imager’s unique ability to print grayscale and color in one imager makes it ideal for advanced imaging applications requiring large format film, color for CT perfusion, functional and 3D rendering, plus grayscale paper for diagnostic review, referral and patient copies. Codonics Horizon imagers provide an “all-in-one” solution that eliminates the need for multiple imagers, with its unique capability to combine film, color and grayscale printing in one desktop device.
While radiology departments move toward a film-less environment, the requirement for film and paper backed images still exists. Codonics Horizon eases the transition to less film by accommodating requests within the imaging department and from referring physicians with their exclusive DirectVista Paper, a medical-intended alternative to film. DirectVista Paper is tear resistant, water resistant, photo weight and archives the same as film. Specially created for medical applications in a variety of sizes, it’s ideal for referring physicians, particularly because it can be viewed in room light without a light box while offering all of the detail of film, but at less than half the cost. The imager installs quickly and fits on a desktop, saving valuable space in the radiology department.
